Typically, the after school program meets once a week. Each week includes a short instruction and game time along with personal tutoring and interaction. The curriculum will train beginning students to the level of a tournament player. Strategery provides all of the materials necessary (boards, pieces, game clocks, and demo boards). Students are also encouraged and enabled to compete both individually and as a team in local and regional competition where they may represent the school.

My child absolutely loves his after school chess club. Sam, the instructor, is everything a parent would want in a chess instructor- knowledgeable, organized, and patient. He provides individualized instruction through a variety of methods and instructional activities, and his positive feedback inspires and motivates all who attend. Thank you very much for bringing this quality program to our school. - Rachel Ferrario
